Minneapolis Wedding Photographer - Jon & Jessica Thielen

Oh this day... this beautiful day. We had a 70% chance of rain, suppose to be strong storms all day, but did we see a drop? Nope. All we saw was a gorgeous bride, a very excited groom and enough love from friends and family to last them a lifetime.

I have to mention that all of the amazing details you'll see below from the reception were all made by the amazing bride, Jessica. Seriously, this girl should just do these kinds of hands on projects for a living. She even made the bridesmaid's personalized hangers. You have to admit that's pretty cool.

Jessica and Jon,
I wish you many years of laughs and a lifetime of love.
Congrats again you two!

All of the ladies signed the Bride's shoes before she put them on! Such a cute idea. And this shot with the flower girls? I was obsessed with it the second my shutter snapped. Swoon!

The bride had the flower girls deliver this little message to the groom! Seriously adorable!

Get ready for the DIY amazingness!

Como Zoo Wedding Photographer - LaForest Wedding

I was lucky to second shoot this beautiful wedding with S Rain Photography back in May. The Como Zoo Sunken Gardens have been a dream wedding location for me for awhile now, the lines in there are just amazing! The wide angle black and white image below may need to be printed on a canvas and hung in my home. How cool is the glass dome ceiling?

I also loved this Bride's shoes! I am totally wearing flats on my wedding day.
Stylish and practical!

Cottage Grove Wedding Photographer - Kaitlin and Justin

As I was going through their images tonight trying to decide which ones to blog I found myself pulled towards the black & whites over and over. Thus, another all b&w blog post. There's something about them that just screams "classic love"!

This beautiful wedding took place on a very hot day in May. The bride was gorgeous, the groom quite dashing and the wedding party? The wedding party was hilarious!
Their day was full of laughs, a ton of love and I wish them all the best for a lifetime of happiness!

Congrats again Justin and Kaitlin!

Minneapolis Children Photographer - Jordan and Jackson

I am always excited when I get to see little ones grow so when I got an email from this adorable family I couldn't wait to photograph them again!

Don't they both have amazing eyes?

Enjoy!

Jordan and Jackson I hope to see you again soon!

Coon Rapids Child Photographer - Bennett Matthew {6 months}

Hello hello hello again! It has been quite awhile since I've had time to post some adorable pictures so I had to come back with a BANG!

Meet Mr. Bennett. Although he is 9 months old now, 3 months ago he came to visit me at the studio and we had some fun! I love his amazing facial expressions, his adorable big blue eyes and his hair that can't seem to make up its mind about what color its going to be. Red? Blonde? What's it gonna be man? Either way he's still a handsome little guy.

Enjoy!

I'm still in love with this oh so serious face!

Minneapolis Headshot Photographer - Heidi

As you all know by now I moved into a new studio space at the beginning of May (insert happy dance here). My first order of business was to get familiar with the lighting and different prop set ups in the space. This is where the lovely Heidi came into play. Being a talented photog herself I thought it would be fun to kill two birds with one stone and do a head shot exchange. (I am no good at taking photos of myself. Yes I try and always fail. I'm much better behind the camera.)

Sometimes I wish I owned a bunch of wigs. Or I was really rich and could have a hairstylist come over every morning. I begged, pleaded and maybe bowed down at her perfectly manicured feet but Heidi refused to trade me her awesome hair for our shoot. Seriously, my hair will not hold a pretty curl like this girl's. I'm greener than our couch with envy whenever I see her. (One day you will fall asleep around me, Heidi, and then I'm cutting it off and glueing it on my head. Weird? A little. But I'd do it.) As soon as I get my website up and running you'll be able to see a shot she took of me on the bio page.

We had some fun in the studio and right outside, lots of laughs, silly faces and perhaps a little dancing. These were my 3 favorites from our playtime. Isn't she pretty?? I'm lucky to call her my swamp friend.
