Minneapolis Baby Photographer - Baby Nixon

I recently had the pleasure of meeting this handsome little man to do a little at home photo shoot. I think mom will be very happy with the results. Nixon's Mommy and I go way back to high school where we use to cheer lead together (Go Cardinals, ha ha) but its been a few years since I've seen her so it was nice to catch up and  gossip a bit.

I can't wait to watch this little stud grow. He's going to break some hearts!

Love how the family dog, Cuddy, had to be sure Nixon was alright.
Sure doesn't seen like Nixon minds much :)

Minneapolis Newborn Photographer - First Day Photo

Another great day at the hospital. This truly is a gratifying & fulling job.

This beautiful little girl's mommy was nice enough to allow me to share these images with everyone on my blog. She was wide awake and quite happy throughout our session which just makes for some beautiful images that her family can enjoy for years to come.

Minneapolis Maternity Photographer - Chelsie & John

This gorgeous little Mama was having contractions throughout our session (her little man was born the next day) but we trucked through and got some cute shots of her, her fiance John & her little pregnant belly. I think I am going to love doing maternity shoots.

Congrats you two! Can't wait to meet your little man :)

Minneapolis Maternity Photographer - Rachel & Jeremy

This beautiful Mama was kind enough to let me photograph her and her adorable little bump for my first official maternity session. We had some gorgeous weather and besides the crop duster chasing us off the field (where I've never seen any sort of farm equipment in my life) we had a great session. Thanks again you guys and congrats!

Minneapolis Engagement Photographer - Christie & Matt are getting married!

I was so excited when I got an email from Christie asking if I would take engagement pictures for her and Matt. I've known these two since high school (even though I hadn't seen them in a few years) and they are as cute today as they were when they started dating (9 years ago)! It was so refreshing to see a couple that is so in love that we had a few little happy tears when asked to look into each others eyes.

We had quite the adventure and a little bad luck the first day we met up to capture some images. The rain decided it couldn't hold off another hour for us so after hitting up one of my favorite locations in Andover we headed towards some indoor locations downtown. When we got to the first location, a museum that I had been told by another photogo was a great place for indoor photos we learned that, of course, they were closed. (Trying to get out of the parking garage was an adventure in-itself. When a machine states that it takes Visa shouldn't it in fact take Visa?) Luckily the rain wasn't so bad that we were getting distorted photos so we dug out the clear umbrella and we headed out in front of the museum. Apparently we were standing where we shouldn't have been because out of nowhere we hear this loud foghorn type sound and look up to see surveillance cameras pointed our way. Needless to say we booked it. Oops! Next, we headed toward the sculpture gardens. I did like how those really captured the Minneapolis feel & loved how the rain made a pretty little backdrop on the umbrella. And because of the rain, Christie & Matt, you are the first people that have seen my naturally curly hair in a very long time, feel special! We ended our first day in the Guthrie. So glad we caught some cute silhouettes and cuddly type shots, it turned out to be a great location choice. I guess I never realized its the type of place people have business meetings or meet up with friends to do a little homework. I will definitely take clients there in the future if we need an indoor location.

We decided to do a second day because the first had been riddled with things going wrong and bad weather, plus we had to be positive these two love birds had some amazing images to display at their wedding. So we met in Big Lake because it has a big lake (Who'd a thunk? Ha ha) and prayed for some beautiful weather. Too bad it was so cold poor Matt and Christie were shaking in their boots, literally, and my fingers were so cold they were stiff for hours after. We managed to get some great shots of this beautiful couple before we had to call it a day. As we were finishing it we started to see snowflakes, luckily they stopped as quickly as they started. And, of course, a couple hours later is was gorgeous outside. Guess that's the way the cookie crumbles, eh?

All in all we were able to capture some great images that I hope C&M will be proud to show off at their wedding :) BTW, I left a ton of our silly mishaps out just so I don't bore those who just want to get to the pictures but I have to say it was one of the more adventure filled shoots I've done to date.

Without further ado please enjoy the pictures!

Sorry if that was picture overload... I just loved too many from C&M's session.

Congrats you two! I wish you all the best for a long long long life of happiness! Hopefully Ill be photographing your babies next ;) Haha.
